PORTRAIT ARMCHAIR

Inspired by our love of portrait photography which aims to capture the identity, personality, and essence of a subject, we feel our Portrait chair provides that timeless seat. The amalgamation of the chair and person creates its own story.

The Portrait chair is ergonomically designed to create a neutral posture and facilitate the ability to sit comfortably over long periods of time. Constructed using Canadian Oak, a wood species undoubtedly strong and indigenous to Canada, it is a material we believe embodies a heritage feel that will age gracefully into the heirloom quality piece we hope to be passed on.

For ease of shipping the Portrait chair is flat packable and can be put together with a single household tool to facilitate autonomy. This was necessary to the design itself as we aim to make high quality, handmade goods more accessible. 

We feel there is  an excess of products available at our fingertips that encourages a throwaway culture. We believe there was an era when purchasing was intentional, maybe even simpler, because consumers had faith in the longevity of products.
